Chimney Pots & Pot Toppers
Terracotta Chimney Pots:
Chimney pots provide a decorative and personal touch to the top of your masonry chimney. With a wide selection of designs and styles to choose from, you are sure to find a chimney pot that will fit your home’s style. Made of terracotta, we are generally able to match an existing chimney pot if yours is damaged or install new.
When selecting a chimney pot, it is important to take into account what is venting into the flue system that the chimney pot is being added to. We want to make sure that by adding additional height, we are matching the internal width to not impede the draft of your fireplace. We also want to ensure that the structure holding your chimney pots will be able to withstand the added weight. Chimney pots can exceed 500 pounds - it is crucial that the exterior chimney is inspected for any notable defects.
We will schedule a time for our technicians to visit your home to provide you with a free estimate. We will go over options of pots that may be available to you. We recommend selecting several options from the styles provided and we will be able to provide you with pricing with installation.
Chimney Pot Toppers:
Much like traditional rain caps, chimney pots have their own style of cap designed to sit within the chimney pot to help prevent birds and other critters from making a home out of your chimney. Standard options include copper and stainless steel, and are designed to match the shape of your pot. When desired, our technicians will measure for the appropriate sized pot topper and they are custom made to fit your chimney pots.
Scheduling Your Chimney Pot/Pot Topper Installation:
Both chimney pots and pot toppers are custom/special ordered. Once a price is determined and agreed upon, we will request a signed copy of the proposal and deposit. Once received, we will order your custom pots and/or pot toppers. When an ETA is received, we will tentatively schedule your installation date. Depending on the access to your home and the weight of materials, we may need to utilize accessibility equipment such as a boom lift or scaffolding to install safely. If necessary, this cost will be reflected within the estimate provided.
